FLYING LIGHT OVER TEESSIDE 11th May 2009

I was working on my computer when I saw a bright light move low across the sky. It was a bright yellow/orange firey colour, with what looked like a tail at the back from hitting the atmosphere. It didn't move very fast as I had time to stand up and watch it disappear from right to left out of sight. It had a steady trajectory low across the sky. This occurred 11th May 2009 at about 10.00pm. I thought it might have been a meteorite falling from the sky.

I heard about this on the local radio, but I'm further north and so I couldn't see anything!

Hi gayton, welcome to the site, could have been a metorite but its interesting Pax heard about this on the radio.

There have been a fre bright light sightings recently.

It was apparently a really heavy meteor shower, but it was really cloudy, so after standing outside for half an hour and getting a crick in my neck, I only saw one!

Was good though!
