What odd facebook friends you must all have :!:

Oooor, and much more likely ... you' (and you know who I mean) have never had a facebook account and are making bald statements based upon assumption and rumour. Tut tut tut ...

My facebook friends are a mixed bunch, they include ground breaking scientists, undercover journalists, archealogists, film makers, poets, musicians, artists, yoga experts and gurus, astrologers, health and well-being gurus, spiritualists, permaculture farmers, herbalists, trekers in the Himalayas and other fabulous, fabulous intelligent, caring people the world over. You don't know what you're missing!!! Yes, and some disagree but so what ... no one's rude and I wouldn't allow them to be on my posts. You can 'delete' friends ... you can block people ... you can report people.

You lot should try facebook.

Amy I am chuffed that you have found success with Facebook, we hear so many poor experiences on there and not many positive ones hit the press do they? all we hear is bad
You can 'delete' friends ... you can block people ... you can report people.
well the first two apply, I don't know about the last one, the reports seems to go into a black hole AFAIK but deleting and blocking are very effective!! I have done both, they work superbly

there are still an enormous amount of people prejudiced against Facebook - many of these prefer Twitter

Pat are you talking about "privacy settings" :blotto:

no, the problem with facebook is human nature and many people seem to find it easier to fall out on Facebook.

Its so easy to have a go at someone when you are sat on a computer, rather than face to face.

I still don't understand that, if somebody "has a go at you" you just "unfriend" them, surely the person "having a go" must know that you will "unfriend" them

AFAIK this exact principle has kept all my FACEBOOK interactions sweet smelling and rosy :green:

the only exception to that is discussions on GROUPS where it then becomes like DODGE CITY :wide:

Thats the problem, so many people don't unfriend people and use facebook as a platform to argue.
