I agree. I don't think we'll be able to create life from mechanics, but I think it'll be the other way, we'll end up making the biological more artificial.

Re: IS THERE A GOD?

I don't think there is necessarily a single sentient entity that is "God" - partly because in nature, there never seems to be just one of anything (this is where someone proves me wrong!). At the same time, I'd like to beleive that there's something more to the existance we experience now, whether t...

Re: the creation of an artificial mind

I think thats mad and amazing... why not? I beieve computers will end up bio rather than mechanical eventually so why not build a brain of a kind its no different to build a computer... just start simple and it will get more complex with time. I really wish I could remember the bloke's name - but i...

Re: Medieval Soldier Database

Quite interesting stuff, I've always had a secret fascination with historical battles. Do you remember the tv show that was on BBC2 about 5 years or so ago that was about this stuff ? Basically contestants would command a computer generated army to try and win a battle that was lost in history, it ...

Re: Israel did 9/11, ALL THE PROOF IN THE WORLD!!

I don't think "Israel did 9/11" - that's an interesting list of facts, but I think that sometimes facts can be interpreted to what people want to beleive. I don't completely beleive the "official" story either.

I'll confess straight away that I don't know all the ins and outs of this case. I appreciate that he says he was trying to find the truth by hacking into these systems - but he still committed a crime by doing so.

Re: My UFO and Ghost theory

I think there are so many questions about time travel that we will never fully have the answers until the technology has been invented. I find the speculation interesting though!! The technology might never be invented though. At the rate that our technology is advancing - if time travel isn't ever...

Re: Pandemic fear as killer flu spreads

I personally don't think there's any hidden agenda behind this flu - viruses happen and spread, however, I do find the press coverage excessive and scaremongering. The scaremongering is ridiculous mate. I know - I find myself watching the news and reading newspapers and pretty much disregarding mos...

We capture 'the hand of ghost' A GHOSTLY child reaches out from the darkness in a snap taken on a revolutionary new spirit-catching camera. British spooks hunter Paul Rowland reckons he's invented a gizmo for capturing spirits. It works by using ultraviolet and infrared lights to enhance images oth...

Re: Pandemic fear as killer flu spreads

Some of us trust them and some don't its a matter of opinion and we must respect other peoples views wether we agree with them or not. If you do not want the jab do not have it but let other people make up their own mind. Thats what I was trying to say from the start. Unfortunately because of my jo...

Re: blurring the boundaries on assisted suicide

There is research (somewhere...I can't remember without hunting for it) that states that you cannot be talked into suicide. Taking your own life is something you either consider as an option or not. For the majority of people, it isn't a viable option to end their suffering. I don't think that thes...

I'm just slightly confused. I'm fed up of all this swine flu hype. Trouble is, since someone suggested to me that Swine Flu sounds like a bad James Bond villan - I haven't been able to take it seriously. (Say it with a bad German accent)
