The Philadelphia Experiment

The Philadelphia Experiment was an alleged naval military experiment at the Philadelphia Naval Shipyard in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, in late October, 1943, in this experiment the U.S. destroyer escort USS Eldridge was to be rendered invisible (i.e. cloaked) to human observers for a brief period. It is also referred to as Project Rainbow.

This experiment was hidden by the us government for many years until 1955 when a man called Carlos Miguel Allende wrote to Morris K. Jessup, an amateur astronomer and former graduate-level researcher who had written a book called “The case for the UFO” In the letter, Allende informed Jessup of the Philadelphia Experiment, alluding to two newspaper articles as proof. Allende also said that he had witnessed the Eldridge disappear and reappear while serving aboard the SS Andrew Furuseth, a nearby merchant ship that was near by.

The bare bones of “Project Rainbow” was to make a ship or object invisible to radar, during the height of WW2 this would have given anyone with this technology a serious advantage. The question you have to ask is “How do you make a ship invisible? The answer is surprisingly simple, you simply bend light around it, they way they chose to do this was by using Einstein’s unified field theory.

In physics, a unified field theory is a type of field theory that allows all of the fundamental forces between elementary particles to be written in terms of a single field. There is no accepted unified field theory yet, and this remains an open line of research. The term was coined by Albert Einstein who attempted to unify the general theory of relativity with electromagnetism. A Theory of Everything is closely related to unified field theory, but differs by not requiring the basis of nature to be fields, and also attempts to explain all physical constants of nature. Ok enough of the Physics we do not totally understand! Basically take a glass of water, stick a pencil in it and look through it and hey presto the water bends the light and the pencil appears to be bent. Now with an energy field just tune the energy field and all the light is bent around the object and it appears to vanish totally!

During the experiment there were supposedly several side affects. As a whole the experiment went well and did what it was supposed to do, but witnesses reported serious side effects for the crew. Crew members would have been physically fused to bulkheads, suffered from mental conditions or would have just vanished into thin air. 2 members of the crew jumped off the ship and were never seen again, but later reportedly the Philadelphia dock yard was closed in 1984 and 2 men were seen to fall from no where into the water.

It is rumored that not only did they gain optical invisibility but also opened a worm hole in space to another dimension. The ship also at one stage reappeared in Norfolk Virginia so Teleportation was also reported, and last but not least Time Travel.

It is rumored that Einstein did not wish to carry on working on this project due to the moral issues of what they were doing and the project was covered up and went to ground. Many people believe “Project Rainbow” vanished itself only to reappear as “Montauk Project” it is believed that experiments were conducted in teleportation, parallel dimensions and time travel in the following decades.
